Congratulations to the U14 Girls’ team for their Finalist Appearance in the Upper 90 Preseason Challenge. Per Coach Miguel... The u14 girls played their first tournament this past weekend and second place. They played an amazing final setting the tempo for how we aim to play for the rest of the season. It was a very close game and the girls were proud of each other’s efforts on the field. The culture on the field was great and very intense, and when we scored goals we would all celebrate together. The culture off the field was even better, girls would stay together after games at the tournament fields to watch other teams play and the girls were all very supportive and encouraging about each other’s mistakes.

The PC United Girls Academy enjoyed their time cheering on the @tampabaysunfc They also had the opportunity to meet two former PC United WPSL players Sydny Nasello and Jordyn Listro, now playing professional soccer for the Sun.

Earlier this week PC United U17 Player, Omar Saucedo had the opportunity to train with the Tampa Bay Rowdies Professional Team for two days at their training facility in Tampa. We would like thank @tampabayrowdies for the incredible opportunity and for supporting youth soccer in our local community. This is the second time in 2024 that our players have caught the attention of professional teams in our state. Earlier this year, three PC United players were invited to train with Inter Miami’s Academy.

The 2010 U14 Boys Blue & White teams wrapped up training for the 2023-2024 season. Congrats to the white team on the season finishing 5th out 8 teams. The players gained a lot of experience and are ready for next year’s competition. The Blue team had an outstanding season with a record of 16W-5L-1D. Bringing a lot competition where we played. Today for Day 4 the team got to tour the Girona FC stadium and look at all of the facilities. It was very fitting as their motto is a family orientated organization a smaller club that plays and competes against the “giants”. Currently they’re 3rd in La Liga! After that the boys had some downtime to enjoy and then they were able to get their first training session in for the week!

Today for day, 2 the team went to the city of Barcelona to tour! They went to the Olympic stadium, la segrada familia, la rambla, and the FC Barcelona Camp Nou trophy museum. The boys look forward to tomorrow where they will tour the Girona FC stadium and have their first training session prior to the tournaments kick off!

The PC United U16 Boys landed in Barcelona and have arrived at their hotel in Costa Brava for the MIC International football tournament!

It was an all Azalea final in the U12 Boys GYSA Cup bracket. The U12 Boys led by Coach Cortez took first place and Coach Fisher and his boys took second place. Great job coaches and players. We are all proud of you.

The drawing for the Mediterranean International Cup (MIC) took place earlier this week. The 2008 Boys Blue Team will be traveling to Spain next month to compete in this highly competitive global competition.

The 2008 boys placed 2nd in the Weston cup and showcase in Naples over this past weekend. The boys played extremely hard and unfortunately lost in the final in the MLS Next division by a 10 round penalty shootout.

The 2008 boys team came out as Champions in this year’s Jacksonville Boys Invitational! They clenched the win in a tight nail bitting game with 30 seconds to go vs the #1 team in Virginia to lift the trophy!

Our Director of Coaching, Don Tobin recently visited @mancity Academy training grounds. He met with the Coaches and talked about their vision, principles of play and what it takes to become an Academy Player and eventually a First Team Player. The Coaches took him around the amazing facility and explained how everything works. Don said that the visit was both very insightful and educational. He is looking forward to implementing some of what he learned into our Academy program.

The 2008 boys finished as champions playing up in the 2007 age bracket in this years Heroes Memorial Day tournament hosted at Eckerd College! The team went undefeated with 4 wins to win the championship!

For the 2023-2024 season the 2008 PCU boys will be taking a trip to Spain to compete in the world famous MIC International Football tournament held in Costa Brava, Spain. The team will be competing against the world's most elite clubs to compete for the MICFootball trophy. This tournament has had greats such as Messi, Neymar, Ronaldinho, Pique, Ansu Fati, Casemiro, Gavi, and Rodri to name a few. What a great opportunity to play in front of the world's best academies and to play at world class stadiums. The future is bright at PCU!

The U15 boys played their first round of state cup this weekend winning their group with 3 wins and 0 losses. With these results the boys have booked their spot in the round of 16! Congratulations to them on a hard fought weekend full of quality soccer! We are extremely proud of their performance and determination this weekend!

After this weekends matches the u15 boys have gone undefeated in the USA premier division with 10 wins, 0 losses, 45 goals for, while only conceding 7. Along with this the boys are on track to finish 2nd in the sunshine conference national league conference. Giving them automatic promotion to the national PRO playoffs next season where they will compete for a spot in the USYS National Championships! The boys have worked extremely hard this year and we look to a fantastic end in state cup and next season!

Congratulations to the PCU U16 Girls, who were finalists in the Bradenton Cup this past weekend. The team had a fantastic tournament especially defensively, conceding only 1 goal in all 4 games. In the Final however, luck was not on their side losing in a penalty shootout. Great job ladies and coaches. We are proud of you.

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of, John Sage. John was one of the original founders of the Azalea Youth Soccer League in 1978. John and his family spend countless hours volunteering their time to serve the local community through youth soccer.
